Read: Runway RunAway: A Backstage Pass to Fashion, Romance & Rock ‘n Roll
A teenage runaway from the streets of LA to the catwalks of Paris, Lorelei Shellist has lived a life full of gritty & glamorous extremes.
In her memoir, “Runway Runaway: A Backstage Pass to Fashion, Romance & Rock ’n Roll,” Lorelei inspires with her perseverance, determination, survival skills and wit. Rebellious, headstrong & independent at age 15, a chance meeting with a major music icon opened the A-list Hollywood doors to a wondrous world, & a full-blown romance. Pounding the pavement in LA & NYC taught her the hard knocks of being a model. Sheer will & determination jetted her off to Europe where against all odds she is contracted as a graceful and spirited muse for Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Bob Mackie, Geoffrey Beene, Armani and more. In those studios Lorelei received first-hand experience on how to bring art and dreams to life from many of the world’s greatest designers. While living in Paris, Lorelei met the doomed love of her life, fiancé Steve Clark, lead guitarist and soulful songwriter of Def Leppard.
Runway RunAway takes readers on a breathless journey around the globe with a backstage pass to high fashion, true romance, & Rock ’n Roll. Lorelei tells what “Life in the Fast Lane” is truly like.
*Her true story includes rare and never before seen photos, memorabilia, and up close and personal scrapbook and daily journal entries. It also has authorized collaboration from key figures in her story.
