Ambassadors of Style on the 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July fellow Americans and Global Citizens.

What color is your flag? There are twenty countries in the world that display red, white and blue colored flags. When America adopted those colors for our flag in 1777 there really wasn’t any official significance related to them. However those three colors do have meaning behind them and they say a lot about each of us. It takes heart to be Ambassadors of Style on the 4th of July!

To our veterans the red, white and blue flag represents freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion. These values represent some of the reasons behind why these courageous men and women choose to serve our country in flying colors.

In my article this month for LA YOGA, I focus on the Ambassador Fashion Archetype. The first of the many archetypes I have identified that play character roles, otherwise known as the universal collection of hidden personalities embedded in our psyches. It’s fun and interesting to know who they are and which of them dominate our ways of showing up in the world by the way we dress. 2015_LAyoga_July_Aug_Fashion

All countries celebrate some form of Independence Day! It really doesn’t matter what color your flag is, but whatever those national colors are, they will help guide you on what to wear to be an ambassador of style on the day of your nations Independence celebrations. How will you show up as Ambassadors of Style on the 4th of July? In other words, what colors are in your flag? I encourage you to salute yourselves and our country.

A graduate of the Masters Program in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica, her appeal crosses many demographics and is particularly appealing to the baby boomer generation who have grown up inundated with confusing and contradictory mass media messages.
